The Program Administrators Workshop provides the novice and advanced-beginner program administrator with information related to the ACEN accreditation policies and processes. Attendees are oriented to the responsibilities of a program administrator in maintaining compliance with the 2017 Standards and Criteria and provided with helpful direction related to reporting and maintenance of documentation. The workshop is particularly relevant to anyone who has been appointed as a new program administrator within the past three years or is new to ACEN accreditation.

How much does the workshop cost and what is included?

The Program Administrators Workshop is priced at $175/person. The target audience is the nurse administrators and program coordinators of currently-accredited ACEN programs with fewer than three years of experience in the role, the nurse administrators and program coordinators of programs with candidate status, or the nurse administrators and program coordinators of programs that recently obtained ACEN accreditation. Because of this, registration is limited to a maximum of two representatives per program.

The registration fee includes the full program, five continuing education credits, and lunch. Coffee and other refreshments are the responsibility of the individual attendees. Complimentary Wifi is available. Please note that the temperatures in the conference room may vary based on where you are seated so we suggest that you bring a sweater or a light jacket.

Does the workshop cover the same material as a Self-Study Forum?

The Program Administrators Workshop does not address the same topics as the ACEN Self-Study Forum. Those also interested in learning about the development of a Self-Study Report, preparation of a Follow-Up Report, or information related to an onsite accreditation review should register separately for the ACEN Self-Study Forum. Forums are typically scheduled on the day preceding a Self-Study Forum to provide the ability to attend both programs with one convenient travel itinerary. What is the agenda?

Registered attendees should be on the lookout for a detailed logistics email the week of the workshop, which will include a more specific program agenda and other important information. For travel purposes, please note that the day is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM.

Payment must be received to confirm registration. Cancellations of confirmed registrations will be charged $100.00 per attendee. This continuing education activity was approved by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Valid through October 30, 2019.

In order to receive continuing education credits for this workshop, you must be in attendance for the entire workshop. At the completion of the workshop, you will need to submit a completed evaluation form. Upon receipt of your completed evaluation form, you will be provided a Certificate of Completion.
